They're doing this for a reason. The movie theater industry is slowly dying because millennials prefer to stay home and watch what they want as soon as it arrives on their favorite streaming service.

Cars are slowly ceasing to be a necessity and becoming a burden. The automotive industry is suffering in this modern era for a number of reasons. One interesting statistic is that millennials are waiting longer than ever to get their driver's licenses, something that has completely shocked car manufacturers.

Another, more obvious reason is Uber! Add to that public transportation and ridesharing, and young adults are discovering that owning a car isn't worth it. Urban youth might just give in and eventually buy a car.
